What Our Families Say
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"A huge thank you to Teacher Irina at Swim Nest for such an incredible baby swimming class today! 🩵
We couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, Irina was so warm, patient, attentive, and genuinely caring with every baby. She took such great care to make sure all of the babies felt calm, safe, relaxed, and comfortable throughout the entire class, and it really showed how passionate she is about what she does.
The atmosphere was so welcoming, and every activity was introduced with so much care and encouragement. It was wonderful to watch our baby build confidence in the water while having so much fun.
Our little one absolutely loved the class! She was smiling, engaged, and enjoying every moment. By the time we got home, she was happily exhausted and had the best nap ever! 😂
We are beyond grateful for such a positive first experience and couldn’t recommend Swim Nest and Teacher Irina more highly. If you’re looking for baby swimming lessons where your little one will be treated with kindness, patience, and genuine care, this is the place to be.
Thank you, Irina, for making today so special. We can’t wait to come back for our next class! ❤️"

"Irina and her team are such lovely teachers. They get results while treating all the children with kindness and respect and keeping classes fun. My little one didn’t really enjoy swimming lessons before we started with Irina and Peter. Now he loves them and he’s improved so much."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Irina and her team are amazing. We have now got all of our kids in their classes and we couldn’t be happier. The lessons are personal and you don’t feel like just a number. They show care and compassion. And have easily balanced the various needs of all our kids with ease.
Irina in particular has been amazing at taking our very scared and nervous 4 year old and showing patience and kindness and just the right amount of fun and enjoyment to slowly get him to now look forwards to swimming.
They have decades of experience from entry level to the highest of levels, and it’s very obvious when you see them coaching just how good they are."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"We had our first ever private swimming lesson with Irina for our 6 and 2 year olds, and I honestly couldn’t believe how well it went. She was so warm and welcoming, and somehow managed to make both kids feel completely comfortable in the water straight away.
She made the lesson fun, engaging and age-appropriate for both of them (which is no small feat with a toddler and a six-year-old!), and I was genuinely shocked at how much they learned in just one session. They both came out of the pool so proud of themselves and already asking to go back.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and can’t recommend her highly enough."

Our Team
Irina Skvortsova
Owner & Head Coach at SwimNest
I have been coaching swimming since 2010, with over 16 years of experience helping children and adults become confident, capable swimmers.
My coaching journey began in Russia, where I joined a local fitness centre as a swimming instructor. Although I was new to teaching at the time, I came from a strong professional background as a competitive open-water swimmer. Very quickly, I discovered a natural ability to break swimming down into simple, achievable steps and help people progress toward their individual goals.
What started as a job soon became my true passion. Today, I cannot imagine my life without teaching swimming. I find genuine fulfilment in supporting swimmers through every stage of their journey — from the first nervous steps into the water to celebrating small wins and major milestones.
I work with:
- young children and anxious beginners
- school-age swimmers learning and refining strokes
- adults overcoming fear of water
- adults training for endurance events such as the Cole Classic
Every swimmer is met exactly where they are, with patience, encouragement, and a personalised approach.
Throughout my career, I have coached across three countries — Russia, the UAE, and Australia — and worked with more than 20 swim schools. This diverse experience has shaped a unique teaching style that combines strong technical foundations with emotional support and confidence-building.
At SwimNest, I believe swimming lessons are about more than learning strokes. They are about building trust, resilience, and a lifelong love of water — starting from the very first splash.
Peter Henry
Coach at SwimNest
I have been coaching swimming since 2007, working with swimmers of all levels — from babies and beginners to adults, special needs swimmers, and competitive squad athletes.
After a successful career in retail, I made the decision to pursue a profession that truly aligned with my passion. Swimming, running, and triathlons played a major role in my younger life, and I competed as a triathlete for many years.
During my competitive years, I was coached by an Australian Olympic swim coach. Learning from such a high-level mentor gave me a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of effective swim training — knowledge that I now bring into every lesson I teach.
I have a genuine passion for swim coaching and take great pride in watching swimmers grow in confidence and ability. Whether it’s a child mastering a new skill or an adult achieving a long-held swimming goal, those moments are what make this work so rewarding.
I believe swimming lessons should be engaging, supportive, and fun — while still delivering real progress. Every swimmer is different, and I tailor my teaching approach to suit each individual’s needs, abilities, and goals.
My only regret in swim coaching is not starting earlier in life. I truly cannot imagine my life now without teaching and helping others succeed in the water.
Kenya Guezou
Coach at SwimNest
Kenya has been part of my swimming journey since 2021, and I'm thrilled to welcome her to the SwimNest team.
With a competitive swimming background, she enjoys teaching swimmers of all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced levels. Kenya brings a positive, patient, and encouraging approach to every lesson, helping each swimmer build confidence and develop their skills in the water.
Alongside coaching, Kenya is currently studying to become a chiropractor, bringing a strong understanding of movement and body awareness to her teaching. Her friendly nature and passion for swimming make her a fantastic mentor for every swimmer.
